OUR NEXT SEASON

We are currently reviewing plays for our next season. They will be announced and promoted one play at a time, rather than as a block of plays.

We are also considering changing our traditional performance times of Friday and Saturday evenings, in order to avoid football crowds (which results in lack of parking space for patrons) and to offer a new option for those who don't like to drive at night, or who like to go to bed early. Stay tuned...

Please return periodically to learn about auditions and other activities. Send us your email address if you'd like to be on our mailing list for announcements, news releases and auditions. Just send us a note at:

gettysburgstage@hotmail.com

and write "Put me on mailing list" in the subject line. We'll know what you mean, and it will just be our little secret. We do not traffic in email addresses, we just want to let you know what's going on, and when and where.

There are some exciting plays under consideration!

GETTYSBURG FESTIVAL

The Gettysburg Festival which is scheduled this year from June 19 to 29 will be a first. Depending on availability of our cast and crew, as well as an air-conditioned performance space, Gettysburg Stage may offer performances at some time during the 10-day event, possibly as part of a fringe festival of local and regional performances. As you may have read elsewhere here, Keefauver Center does not have air conditioning. Mid-June in Gettysburg can be pretty hot and humid, which makes it tough on actors and audiences alike. We'll let you know by the end of May, at the latest, about our plans.

PERFORMANCE SPACE UNCERTAINTIES

Due to some uncertainties about the Keefauver Center space over the next two years (because of possible  renovation), we are interested in exploring the use of other performance spaces. Our preference is the Gettysburg area, but we will consider anything reasonable (did I mention cheap -- free is even better?).

Let us know if you have a suitable space. Especially if it's free or low-cost. After all, we are a non-profit theatre, trying to bring affordable, challenging theatre to residents and visitors alike. If you're still thinking about our productions the day after you were in the audience, we've done our job!
